Hurricane Dolly nears Texas-Mexico coastline. Reduced Lower Rio Grande Valley and Coastal Bend cotton plantings totaled 390,000 acres. Cash trading quickened on The Seam, with grower-to-business sales reaching the largest daily volume since June 16.

LIVESTOCK -- DTN Early Word Opening Livestock 07/24 05:50
The pork complex should open with a firm undertone with lean hogs boosted by stronger bids in the country and Wednesday's surge in carcass value. Belly contracts seem set to jump higher in the early going thanks to follow-through buying and evidence of greater demand for fresh product. Cattle futures are expected to be mixed on the opening as traders position ahead of the development of cash news.
